In 1686 – a Dutchman named Robert Sanders purchased the site known as Poughkeepsie, New York from Native Americans. It became the second capital of New York and was the place where New York became the 11th colony to ratify the United States Constitution. Because of Metropolitan Builders, the revolution of Infrafloor’s under floor heating systems continues in full force.
Consumers in Poughkeepsie and the surrounding area continue to “ratify” the idea of warm floors and are excited about the products that Floor Heat Systems Inc. offers to consumers throughout North America. For Metropolitan Builders this time, they chose the cable floor heating system. InfraFloor’s cable system is an inexpensive option which can be installed in any mortar and/or thinset. The cable floor heating system also provides for the most flexible radiant floor heating installation as they are manually strung into place across the floor using guide brackets for spacing. The spacing options (2″ or 3″) allow you also to increase or decrease the watt density according to your needs. With the 2″ spacing the power watt density will be 15 watts per square foot, and with the 3″ spacing, the power watt density is 12 watts per square foot. Poughkeepsie is the site of the “Vanderbilt mansion”, where no expense was spared and opulent luxury reigns supreme. Underfloor heating, in the past, was reserved for the elite homeowners, however, now, with Floor Heat Systems, Inc., it has become an affordable luxury, available to all homeowners across this great land!
